Thames cycle route

The London section of the network involves building a 44-mile route along the side of the River Thames from Hampton Court to Dartford.

For use by both commuters and visitors, it will pass within a 10-minute ride of more than 200 schools.

Half the first year's building cost was approved in 1994 under the new rules for local transport funding.
