Kobelco solves recycling problem
A Kobelco 325 jaw crusher mounted onto a used Komatsu PC300 tracked
excavator has solved a recycling problem in Scotland for Kamscot
Construction.
As part of a contract to prepare a house building site in Hamilton,
Renfrewshire-based Kamscot needed to crush a lot of broken concrete
that had been left following the demolition of an old
warehouse.
The tracked crushing unit was hired in as there was not enough
space to install a conventional mobile crushing plant and, even so
a conventional conveyor belt could have been damaged by steel
reinforcing rods in the concrete.
As a result of using the specially built Kobelco/Komatsu unit
supplied by Marubeni-Komatsu, the contractor was able to commence
work within one hour of arrival on site, but also saved time and
expense.
