Three consortia up for hospital

Norfolk and Norwich NHS Trust's plans for a new hospital is the latest private finance initiative scheme to get off the blocks.

Three consortia are in the running for the massive œ90 million Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

The 701-bed hospital will be built on a green field site with the consortia working up full designs from scratch. The three shortlist consortia are:

n John Laing Construction/General Healthcare Group/BZW

n Amec Healthcare/Compass

n Pentland Healthcare - Wimpey/Serco/Impregilo
