Schal manages œ100m Tate Gallery job
Schal International, Tarmac's construction management specialist,
has been chosen to manage the œ100 million transformation of
the former Bankside Power Station in London into the new Tate
Gallery of Modern Art.
One of Schal's first tasks will be to assist in the application for
funding from the Millennium Fund. A shortlist for Millennium
funding is expected in August.
The building, originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the
1950s, will be converted into 30,000m2 of new gallery space.
