Two bidders for Papworth

Sir Robert McAlpine and a consortium headed by Chesterton and HCDA are being invited to bid for a œ20 million PFI project to redevelop Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.

The two bidders are expected to return their proposals to Papworth Hospital NHS Trust at the end of August. The work is expected to involve a mix of new build - research and development facilities, pathology units, a patient hotel and conference and training facilities - and refurbishment.
