HYDREX APPOINTMENTS

Hyrex Equipment (UK), the acquisitive contract hire, plant sales, demolition and materials handling equipment group, which recently acquired PSE Machinery, has appointed Andrew Greenhall non-executive director of its main board and Mike Maddox, former general sales manager for Atlas Hydraulic Loaders, as national contracts executive.

CITB OPEN EVENINGS

The CITB's Bircham Newton training centre is holding open evenings for employers and individuals interested in plant mechanic training on 23 and 25 July from 6-9pm. Visitors can view the facilities and enrol for evening classes.

KUBOTA SALES NORTH

Kubota (UK) has appointed Richard Sayers regional sales manager - north. He replaces Steve Cooper who has left the company. Apart from sales in the north of the UK, Sayers is also responsible for sales in Eire.

backeye on the H44

Burton-on-Trent based Heathfield Haulamatic has installed the backeye vehicle (reversing) video system on its new H44 dump truck. Unveiled at SED the truck is the company's first move into the 40 tonne rigid arena.

kubota for Murston

Eight more Kubota mini-excavators have joined the hire fleet of Ashford-based Murston Plant. Supplied by Sevenoaks-based Tracker Plant Sales, the Kubota fleet of the Kent hirer is now more than 40 units.

disappearing punctures

Punctures to a telescopic handler at the Shield Green recyling depot of Castle Morpeth Borough Council have fallen from 8 a month to zero after the fitting of Moplant tyre protectors. Supplied by Poole-based Moplant, it is a cord reinforced rubber interlay which fits between the cover and the inner tube.
