Balfour Beatty's Scottish Building Division has a œ7m contract
from the European Development Company to construct the Queens Link
Leisure Park on Beach Boulevard in Aberdeen. It also has a
œ4.5m contract to refurbish D Hall at Barlinnie Prison in
Glasgow.
Britannia Construction has won the contract to construct a new
4,784m2 superstore for Tesco in Ebbw Vale in Wales. Completion is
due in January 1997.
Miller Construction has begun work on a œ4.6m contract to
construct two retail units for Wyncote Developments in
Crawley.
Mowlem has won a œ2.6m contract for refurbishment work and the
construction of a new two storey building at Bury College, in
Bury.
Hallamshire Construction of Chesterfield has won a œ1.9m
contract to build 35 flats for Minster General Housing Association
in Northampton. It also has a œ1.6m contract for Home Housing
Association in Chesterfield.
Wates Construction has been awarded a œ1.8m contract to
construct the new South Buckinghamshire Pinnacle Health &
Leisure Club in Wexham for Wates Leisure.
Halcrow Airports Group is to undertake a study and design exercise
to assist in the modernisation of Almaty International Airport for
the government of Kazakstan.
Gardiner & Theobald International has been appointed to provide
cost management services on a œ23m aircraft hangar project for
Emirates Airline at Dubai International Airport.
