Halligan on big spending spree
A surge in business has encouraged TP Halligan plant hire to spend
more than œ350,000 on new construction equipment.
The Manchester-based company recently purchased five JCB 3CX
Sitemasters and a JCB JS130 tracked excavator. After a month the
demand for new machines was so high, that the company placed an
order for three more JCB Sitemasters.
Managing director Tommy Halligan said: "We had a very successful
year in 1995 and have been as busy this year.'
The company which has a fleet of more than sixty machines, was
founded in 1984. Originally employing six people TP Halligan -
which supplies a broad range of contractors including Taylor
Woodrow - has 45 people on its books and an annual turnover of
œ2.5 million.
