secure future employment unless they register their skills with the
Construction Skills Certification Scheme, the organising body

Design Electrical Services of Rainham in Essex was prosecuted last
week by the Health and Safety Executive, following the
electrocution of a 19-year-old trainee electrician. The company was
fined œ8,000.
crash appeal
The charity CRASH - Construction Industry Relief & Assistance
for the Single Homeless - has launched an appeal to raise
œ250,000 for a flagship project to renovate a day centre in

Haywards Heath-based contractor GE Martin has acquired the majority
of the assets of the liquidated Shering Holdings of Hampshire and
also of Eldridge & Cruttenden of Hastings, which was recently
placed into liquidation.
