Hanson Land selects Spen

Spen Hill Properties, part of Tesco, has been selected by Hanson Land to develop a 20,000m2 shopping centre at its Hampton township near Peterborough. Tesco already has detailed planning permission for a 6,000m2 superstore.

Spen Hill and Hanson aim to create an integrated shopping centre combining the superstore with other retail units. Units of between 500-1,500m2 are being considered along with 2,000 car parking spaces. A start on site is expected in the summer of 1997.
