Balfour to build Florida bridge

The Heavy Civil Division of Balfour Beatty Construction, based in Atlanta, USA, has been awarded a œ53 million contract to build the Fuller Warren Bridge in Jacksonville, Florida. The 2,286m long precast and cast-in-place bridge will replace the existing structure spanning Interstate 95 and the St Johns River. Client is the Florida Department of Transportation. Completion is due in the spring of 2000.
