Twigden Homes, part of the Kier Group, has promoted its chief
surveyor, Graham Baker, to its board as technical director. He will
be responsible for all Twigden's surveying, buying, engineering and
architectural functions. The newly-created post results from
Twigden's expansion into the south east through acquisition of
Miller Homes Southern.
brolac decorator
Edinburgh's Ian Cockburn has been named the Brolac Young Decorator
of the Year for 1996. The 19-year-old who attends Edinburgh's
Telford College and works for Sheerin Decorators, scooped first
prize in the youth construction skills competition. Cockburn won
œ1,000, a bronze trophy and the opportunity to represent
Britain at the 1997 International Youth Skill Olympics.
chesterton director
Stephen Townsend has been named marketing director for Chesterton's
construction services division which incorporates Cyril Sweett
& Partners, Cyril Sweett Project Consultants and Chesterton
Building Consultancy. The newly-created position will see Townsend
responsible for expanding the workload of Chesterton's project
management and quantity surveying divisions.
drysdale joins board
Cardiff-based construction company, E Turner, the regional company
for Willmott Dixon Construction in South Wales, has reinforced its
Board with the appointment of commercial director, Brian
Drysdale.
TROMAN
Armitage Shanks Integrated Systems has announced the appointment of
Philip Troman as its new general manager. Reporting to managing
director Jeremy Watts, Troman will take overall responsibility for
the company's operations.
His experience includes numerous senior management positions with
companies including the Delta Group, Royal Worcester Spode and the
Newman Tonks Group.
