Specialist contractor Kershaw announced last week the appointment
of a new non executive chairman to its board.
John Farrell, who has been a non-executive director with the
Kershaw Group for the past four years, replaces outgoing Giles
Bingley. Chief executive Bingley is relinquishing his post to
conform with the Cadbury Code of Corporate Governance.
Farrell is confident about the Group's ability to maintain success
and sustained growth. He said: "High quality service and
workmanship have underpinned the company's recent development in
what has been an extremely difficult market place. It is a credit
to our management team that we have delivered such dramatic growth
in sales under these circumstances."
Kershaw's turnover has doubled in the past three years to
approximately œ30 million.
Apart from his involvement with Kershaw, Farrell is also non
executive chairman for waste management service company, Caird
Group, and a non executive director for the Barlo Group. He retired
as joint md of Cape in 1992.
