Chasing the blues
James Longley has been awarded a œ25 million contract to build
five major projects for Chelsea Village at Stamford Bridge in
London. Longley will construct a 6,500-seater stand for Chelsea
Football Club with 400-seat dinning and viewing gallery. The award
follows the completion of the underground car park and North West
Stand by Longley.
In front of the new stand a ten-storey, 160-bed hotel will be built
with its own restaurant, conference facilities and three other
themed restaurants. Chelsea FC will gain a 2,208m2 office and 920m2
Club Mega Store, while adjacent to the store a nine-storey, 24-flat
apartment block will be constructed.
