Riverside revitalisation planned
Railtrack and Gazeley Properties have submitted a planning
application for a major mixed use development at Norwich Riverside,
aimed at revitalising 17ha of derelict land between Thorpe Railway
Station, Carrow Road, and the River Wensum.
The plans includes a 7,900m2 superstore with petrol station, 12
shop units totalling 15,300m2 and 1,400m2 of speciality retail
units. The 13,900m2 of leisure elements include a multiplex cinema,
bingo hall, and community swimming pool. 250 homes are also
proposed.
