Russia's only construction demonstration show, MOS-CON'97, will
take place at Moscow Central Aerodrome from August 26-29 next year
in a project put forward by Florida-based Expo Corporation.
Alexander Glos, exhibition director outlined his company's plans in
a briefing at Heathrow Airport last week. He said: "Russia and the
CIS have potentially billions of pounds to spend on creating new
and refurbished infrastructure.
"This exhibition is designed to allow western manufacturers to
showcase their products. It will offer the added benefit of a
demonstration area where visitors can see products being put
through their paces."
Glos, who has spent several years working in Russia, added: "The
exhibition is endorsed by the Russian Ministry of Construction and
the Russian Federation (Department of Construction)."
Daily conferences will be addressed by speakers from the World
Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Bank for
Regional Development (EBRD).
There will be both outside and indoor exhibition areas. The former
is described as being "unlimited" while 3,000m2 is offered inside.
Outside space costs: 50m2-499m2 œ47 per m2; 500m2-999m2
œ40 per m2; 1,000m2 upwards œ33 per m2. Indoor space:
œ150 per m2. Exhibition stand systems rental: œ57 per
m2.
