Russians prepare for MOS-CON '97

Russia's only construction demonstration show, MOS-CON'97, will take place at Moscow Central Aerodrome from August 26-29 next year in a project put forward by Florida-based Expo Corporation.

Alexander Glos, exhibition director outlined his company's plans in a briefing at Heathrow Airport last week. He said: "Russia and the CIS have potentially billions of pounds to spend on creating new and refurbished infrastructure.

"This exhibition is designed to allow western manufacturers to showcase their products. It will offer the added benefit of a demonstration area where visitors can see products being put through their paces."

Glos, who has spent several years working in Russia, added: "The exhibition is endorsed by the Russian Ministry of Construction and the Russian Federation (Department of Construction)."
