Franklin buys MTL

International construction consultants Franklin & Andrews has
bought MTL, a Leeds-based firm of quantity surveyors.
MTL will be incorporated under the Franklin & Andrews name. The combination of the two firms will bring the total staff numbers over the 500 mark. MTL's offices in Leeds and Sheffield will add to the presence of Franklin & Andrews in the North.
Ken Lumb, former managing director of MTL, will join Franklin & Andrews as a partner and two other former MTL directors will join as associates.
MTL was first established in 1948 and was bought by Yorkshire Water in 1989. Since 1993 MTL has been part of the Carl Bro organisation.
