Woods teams up with GECHong Kong
Woods of Colchester, in association with GEC Hong Kong, has
supplied 46 large diameter fans to ventilate the Western Harbour
Crossing twin underground road tunnels. This is a key project in
the Airport Core Programme forming part of the expressway linking
Hong Kong island with the new airport under construction at Chek
Lap Kok (see page 12). Thirty-six fully reversible 250JTS and 10
112JS fans are located at the tunnel portals and have supply and
extract capabilities, regulated by a sensor which monitors carbon
monoxide levels in the tunnels.
