Wenroc's œ15 million win

Wenroc Construction, part of McNicholas, has secured a new three year contract with British Gas Transco worth œ15 million.

The contract covers laying new gas mains and servicing existing mains in the Weald and North Downs District, which covers most of Kent. The contract represents the tenth consecutive year in which Wenroc has worked with Transco in the area.

Wenroc will be taking on Transco's new target cost contracting scheme. What this means is that the existing schedule of rates are implemented and compared with the working costs incurred by the contractor. The difference of either profit or loss is shared with the client and contractor.
