Amey wins first ever Royal Navy support deal

Amey Facilities Management has been awarded a five-year contract by the Ministry of Defence to manage support services for HMS Nelson in Portsmouth. The contract, which has an approximate fee value of œ21 million, is the first of its kind for the Royal Navy.

It embraces the management and delivery of accommodation services; catering support; cleaning; work services; mail and messenger services; transport and driver training and other administrative report.

Subject to satisfactory performance, other services may be added to the contract bring the contract up to a potential œ43 million. Possible PFI opportunities could also be available.
