Rowecord buys Welsh civils firm


Rowecord Holdings has taken over Welsh civil engineering firm Andrew Scott.

The deal, in which Rowecord has bought the entire issued share capital of Andrew Scott, is part of the company's expansion of its construction activities.

Ben Hoppe, chairman of Rowecord Holdings and current national president of the British Constructional Steelwork Association will be the new chairman of Andrew Scott.

Andrew Hoppe will be the new financial director.

The Rowecord Group includes Rowecord Engineering which controls the design, fabrication and erection of structural steelwork; Unifloc, which designs, manufactures and installs process engineering plants for the mechanical handling and water industries; Braithwaite Engineers which manufactures, supplies and installs fluid storage tanks; and Metal Protections which is rsponsible for shotblasting and painting.
