Norwest's primary concern
The north west building division of Norwest Holst Construction has
recently completed a single storey replacement primary school in
Dobcross near Oldham, Lancashire. The building features two
circular columns supporting the canopy at the entrance to the
school which allow rain to cascade spirally downwards. The school
has been constructed using traditional materials, including
variably coursed Pennine sandstone and Redland Cambrian roof tiles.
The architect and consulting engineer on the project was Oldham
Metropolitan Borough Council, with quantity surveyor Cameron
Middleton & Lees.
