are a œ5.3m contract for a 10-storey shopping complex in
Stevenage for Richardson Cordwell; a œ5m contract to reclaim a
former power station site at Nechells; and a œ3.3m office and
stores contract at Didcot, Oxford-shire, for National Grid.
Balfour Beatty has a œ6m contract to construct 50km of tank
track road over the North Yorkshire Moors near Catterick Camp and
two contracts for Northumbrian Water worth œ3.3m for work on
the Tees Estuary Environmental Scheme.
Birse has been awarded a œ6m contract to refurbish 18
buildings into teaching accommodation, mess building, armoury and
retail unit at the Chicksands defence establishment at Shefford,
near Bedford.
South West Highways has won a œ4m contract to maintain the M5
between junctions 21-27 and the A303 and A36 in Somerset.
Wates has secured a œ2.7m contract to repair and refurbish 68
flats in Welshpool Street, London E8, for the London Borough of
Hackney.
Lorne Stewart has won a œ2.5m order from Amec Management for
the installation of M&E services at the new BT Telesales Centre
in Warrington.
Essex-based J Hodgson has been awarded a œ2.3m contract to
build the Little Haven Children's Hospice in Rayleigh, Essex.
Kier North East has negotiated a œ2.1m contract to construct
the second phase of development at Follingsby Park, Gateshead, for
White Rose Development Enter-prises.
