Samsung concentrates Euro-marketing in UK

Samsung Heavy Industries has brought its Euro-marketing team from Holland to a new base in its Flaxby, North Yorks factory.

John Harkness, operations director, said: "The move brings together all our European commercial, technical and administrative functions under one roof.

"Together with our product development and manufacturing facilities which are already here, that will greatly enhance our efficiency."

Marketing manager Nick Rose added: "We've more than doubled our unit sales in some key markets by virtue of our committed teamwork approach.

"This new arrangement will bring us even closer to help our dealers and customers because we will have instant communication with our engineering colleagues. Everyone wins."
