Trust's œ16m invite
United Bristol Healthcare NHS Trust is inviting tenders for a
œ16 million project for a dedicated children's hospital
building.
The six-storey building will provide 13,500m2 of floor space and
will be situated at the New Bristol Royal Hospital for Sick
Children at Upper Maudlin Street in the city centre. Applications
need to be in by 27 May 1997.
The work will be divided into two contracts: a œ1.5 million
groundworks contract and a œ14.5 million superstructure and
finishings contract.
Contractors can bid for both packages which will be let under a
fixed-price lump sum contract. The groundworks contract should
begin in June and finish by the end of the year, to be followed by
the main works. Completion is due by the end of 1999.
