Stonehenge project manager
English Heritage is seeking a project manager to oversee the
negotiation and implementation of new facilities at the Stonehenge
World Heritage site in Wiltshire.
The œ83 million scheme is awaiting a decision from the
Millennium Commission on funding for the development of the site,
which includes the new visitor centre and transport link to the
Millennium Park. A final grant decision is not expected until
June/July 1997, but English Heritage wants a project manager on
board as soon as possible.
The work will be part-funded by the private sector under the
private finance initiative.
If the grant side of the financing is successful, then construction
work could commence mid-1998 with completion due in June 2000.
