While the debate over Europe continues, Greenham Trading said it is
benefiting from new European legislation.
In particular, sales of high visibility clothing have increased by more than 50 per cent since the introduction of a new European standard.
"We are selling around 16,000 British-made high visibility garments every month; this includes a range of jackets, waistcoats and trousers," explained Andrew Tedbury, Greenham Trading's marketing manager.
"We have seen particularly strong growth from major road contractors who need to ensure that their workforce remains safe while working in potentially hazardous environments."
The EN471 Standard demands that people working in certain risk environments such as highways have to wear work clothes which have a specified level of reflective material on them.
