Halkyn goes for Heathfield H44s
The full capabilities of the Heathfield H44 rigid dump truck have
been revealed at RMC Roadstone's Halkyn quarry in north
Wales.
Based near Holywell, Halkyn is a quarry that has been worked for
more than 20 years. Its carboniferous limestone supplies several
RMC concrete plants, the construction industry and its two on-site
coating plants.
Halkyn chose an H44 for its impressive demonstration performance
and because the standard price includes features that are charged
as extras on other makes.
Halkyn is using the H44 to transport blasted rock from the face to
the primary crusher for 10 hours a day. Quarry manager Mick Ripley
says: "Although Halkyn has only had the truck for a very short
while, our drivers have said that they are very pleased with its
performance, that it drives and pulls well."
