Greenhall's œ200m round includes nineteenth hole
Greenalls is to increase its spending by œ25 million to
œ200 million next year on a major expansion of its pubs and
hotels.
Around œ100 million will be devoted to expanding its pub
network.
Much of the work will be in the south of England, but the Midlands
and north west will see investment.
Greenalls currently manages 863 pubs, 308 of which are pub
restaurants and there are 1,400 franchised and tenanted pubs.
The group plans to increase the number of pub restaurants to 500 by
converting existing pubs.
Some œ20 million will be spent on the De Vere Hotels division,
including a œ9 million investment to expand The Belfry in the
Midlands in preparation for the Ryder Cup in 2001.
