RBA issues road awareness video

As part of its campaign to increase general public awareness of the issues affecting road construction the Refined Bitumen Association (RBA) has produced a leaflet called What's Ahead? and a video: Roads - Who Cares?

The video, which is 12 minutes long, covers topics such as road maintenance, durability, safety, noise and recycling - in a non-technical way through interviews with experts in these fields.

"Demand for this material has been extremely positive," said RBA chairman, Tim Green. "In addition to libraries and educational establishments, interest has come from road users and related associations, transport museums and local authorities. A number of commercial organisations have also found it useful to inform their own fleet drivers."

For members of the industry who require such information to give to non-technical employees and suppliers or for issue at public events, the leaflet is available free of charge.

The video can be obtained on loan for one month free of charge or can be purchased from the RBA for œ10 plus VAT.
