JV wins Lowry Centre job

An ABB Steward and Haden Young JV has been awarded the £11 million contract for the mechanical, electrical and public health services contract for the £70 million Lowry Centre at Salford Quays.

The contract was placed by management contractor Bovis Construction on behalf of client Lowry Centre Trust.

ABB Steward is carrying out the electrical services package, while Haden Young is responsible for the mechanical services work. The contract is being carried out as a guaranteed maximum price project with open book form of tendering.
