Racetrack proposed

Plans for a £100m racecourse in east London are being proposed by the Wiggins property development group.

Wiggins proposes to construct three oval racetracks, one all-weather track and two turf tracks for jumping and flat racing, on a 130ha site at Fairlop Waters in the London borough of Redbridge.

Other possible elements include a five-star hotel, a budget hotel and a leisure centre with multiplex cinema.

Wiggins plans 70 fixtures per year and hopes to attract business people from the City.
