Bovis set for Christ Church Court

Bovis will begin construction work in the autumn on the £200 million Christ Church Court office project on the edge of Paternoster Square in London.

The developer, Pillar Property, acting on behalf of Sudbury House (a joint venture between Pillar and General Electric Pension Trust) gave the go-ahead to the scheme last week following the recent planning approval for the whole Paternoster Square redevelopment.

The 27,140m2 office project is being financed by Prudential and is pre-let to Schroders.

Demolition work has already begun and the offices are scheduled for a handover to Schroders in April 2000.

Stanhope is project manager for the scheme. The original 1960s tower block, known as Sudbury House, was owned by Magnox Electric and used to house the old Central Electricity Generating Board.
