O&KPUTS MAJORITY OF KRUPP UP FOR SALE

German manufacturer O&K, which sold its mining business to Terex earlier this year, is soon to see Krupp's majority shareholding in its construction division change hands. While unable to comment on interested parties, O&K director Gottfried von Alten told CJ when he thought the handover would happen: "We expect this to be signed before the end of the year." Likely contenders for the 75 per cent stake in O&K's operation, which manufactures tracked excavators, wheeled loaders, motor graders, axles, hydraulic cylinders and transmissions, include Case and New Holland. Gottfried von Alten said: "It's incorrect from a contractual point of view to say we're selling the construction business."
