Bobcat mini gets hydraulic clamp option
A new dipper stick mounted hydraulic clamp option is now available
for the Bobcat range of mini-excavators. Suited to demolition and
road repair applications, the hydraulic clamp makes it easier for
operators to pick up blocks of debris or asphalt. Supplied in kit
form the new hydraulic clamp attachment can be used together with a
standard digging bucket on all Bobcat mini excavators except the
X320. When it is not needed, the clamp can be retracted to the

Hewden stuart's re-focus continues
Hewden Stuart's recent upheaval which has seen it selling off its
non-core businesses to focus on plant and tool hire continues.
Within weeks of selling two quarries in Fife, the national hirer
has bought Michael Bowyer - a plant and tool-hire company in
Wokingham, Berkshire for £2.53 million. In July the company
paid £1.53 million for PI Hire Centres in London and the home
counties. Currently in negotiations over the sale of its building
and landscaping business Hewcon, the national hirer has some way to
go before its new corporate image becomes clear.
This year they felt the time was right to invest in their own
machines.
