Scottish widow denied
by Paul Donovan
Scottish widow Karen Stupart is being denied compensation for the
death of her husband because of "non-disclosure and
misrepresentation" on the part of his former employer.
The revelation came as the employer, property developer, Kenneth
Harper, was cleared of attempting to pervert the course of justice
but fined £750 by a Dundee court last week on an amended
charge of failing to ensure the health, safety and welfare of his
employees.
Lombard General Insurance PLC is refusing to pay out for the death
of John Stupart on a building site, due to irregularities on the
application form completed by Harper's company JK Investments.
