Training shop goes on-line

The Training Organisation for Professionals in Construction (TOPIC) has created a database for construction professionals and managers focusing on training and development.

The database, which lists over 200 training providers, is accessed via the internet and allows companies and individuals to shop more efficiently to satisfy the broadest range of training needs in terms of training providers, location, subject or mode of delivery. A structured search pattern ensures that information can be accessed quickly by links to a training provider's web site. The database is available only to TOPIC members and it can be accessed on the website-http://www.topic.org.uk. The on-line registration form along with details on how to become a TOPIC member is available on the contact us page.

Other services available on the website are member services, which outlines membership benefits and bulletin board - a discussion space for members to share training experiences.

Guy Leonard, TOPIC chairman said: "TOPIC is establishing a new industry standard that will enable individuals and companies to keep in touch with the developments and training initiatives through rapid access to quality information on training provision."
