Bucknall Austin has been appointed cost advisor by the English
Sports Council for the £320 million scheme to transform
Wembley into a national stadium to strengthen England's 2006 World
Cup bid. The design is expected to be finalised by the end of this
year.
TENDERS WANTED FOR LONDONDERRY COMPLEX
The Derry Theatre Trust in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, is
seeking tenderers for an £8 million complex. Expressions of

SHEPHERD BUILDS RETAIL OUTLET IN BURNLEY
Shepherd has begun work on an £8 million project for Great
Portland Estates to build a multi-storey car park and retail
outlets in Burnley, Lancashire.
NEW ARRIVALS AT LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT
Leeds Bradford International Airport is to build a £6 million
building next to the existing arrivals terminal. A walkway linking
the holding lounge and air bridge to the new facilities is
planned.
Meridian Estate regeneration project
Greenwich Council in south London is inviting tenders for a
£5.7 million project to regenerate the Meridian Estate, which
comprises 385 flats in 10, five-storey blocks. Work will include
new lifts, roof and concrete repairs and significant environmental
improvements.
