Wakefield PO delivery

The Post Office is to build a £12 million regional distribution centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It will either transfer the freehold of the site to another landlord and enter into a pre-let agreement for the shell, followed by a possible separate tender for the fit-out or undertake a conventional development itself.

The building will be steel-framed with an aluminium cladding system and part brick/masonry envelope with a gross floor area of around 20,300m2, including a mezzanine floor of 700m2. External works will include a gatehouse, substation and control rooms, hard standings, loading aprons, car parking and landscaping. In addition a fully serviced estate road will be built.
