Prequalification for £45m Whitehall projects
Contractors are being invited to prequalify for two Government
accommodation projects around Whitehall which could be worth up to
£45 million in total.
The larger scheme, worth between £20-30 million, is for new
accommodation for the Cabinet Office around Whitehall in central
London. Contractors will be asked to design and execute works for a
series of buildings - largely refurbishment work, though some new
build might be required. Tender documentation is expected to be
sent out to shortlisted firms by May 1999.
The second project involves preparing and developing a design and
carrying out refurbishment works on Admiralty Arch, just off
Trafalgar Square, also in central London. The project is estimated
to cost between £10-15 million. Tender documents will be
issued to a maximum of six firms by the end of this year.
Both projects are being carried out on behalf of the Minister for
the Civil Service.
Documentation can be obtained from D Green of Drivers Jonas at 6
Grosvenor Street in London W1.
