HBG gains four jobs worth £39m
The HBG group has been awarded four new contracts worth £39.4
million in total. HBG Construction has won a £16 million
contract for the construction of Wellington Square,
Stockton-on-Tees, which is due to start on site early in 1999. The
centre will create 42 new shopping units in time for Christmas next
year.
A second retail contract worth £9 million in London's New Bond
Street started on site last week with demolition works. This is
scheduled for completion by November 1999.
HBG Management has started refurbishing and fitting out the
existing Church of Scotland Assembly Hall in Edinburgh which will
house the new Scottish Parliament until the permanent building is
constructed. Work started last month on the £1.8 million,
five-month contract for the Scottish Office.
HBG Construction has also started work on the 91-week £12.6
million contract to build a new leisure centre for the London
Borough of Newham.
