Jarvis £67m work award

Jarvis has secured two projects in the education sector worth a total of £45 million and its rail division has negotiated a £22 million maintenance contract with Railtrack.

It has been awarded a £20 million PFI contract to build and operate Barnhill Community High School for the London Borough of Hillingdon.

The second education contract is a £25 million project to refurbish student accommodation at the University of York. The work will be undertaken in a number of phases over four years.

The two-year rail contract covers the Liverpool/North Wales area and was previously held by Jarvis. The new contract is substantially on the same terms as the existing contract.
