London Bridge City II plans are submitted

Capital and Income Group has submitted a planning application to Southwark Council for phase two of the London Bridge City site on the south bank of the River Thames.

The masterplan drawn up by architect Foster and Partners is for a mixed-use development totalling 236,624m2 within nine buildings.

The office area will total 210,312m2 with 9,844m2 of retail and restaurant space. A 14,536m2 hotel and 1,932m2 of leisure facilities are also a possibility. The site has also already been shortlisted as one of two sites to provide the home for the Greater London Authority headquarters and office for the new Mayor of London.
