Halla's Euro-restructure complete

Halla Euro Enterprise, the European arm of the Korean conglomerate Halla Business Group, has completed restructuring plans for its construction business across Europe.

In conjunction with its parent company, the UK operation has successfully concluded complex consultations with financial advisors Gemini Financial Holdings which will leave it debt free by January 1999.

The company, which in its first two years in the UK sold 400 excavators, has received unconditional assurances from the Korean operation to ensure full continuity on machines, spare parts, service and warranties.
