Regeneration task force for Liverpool
Liverpool is set to be the first city to benefit from the
long-awaited urban taskforce report by Lord Rogers.
Last week, regeneration minister Richard Caborn, announced the
creation of 'Liverpool Vision' a partnership between the
Government, the North West Regional Development Agency, English
Partnerships, Liverpool City Council, and the private sector. The
new super agency will be given wide powers to cut through red
tape.
Joe Dwyer, the former chief executive of Wimpey, will chair the new
venture, and Layth Bunni, who runs Liverpool City Centre
Partnership, has been appointed chief executive.
