Architects receive 6 per cent pay rise
Architects enjoyed their highest pay rise in a decade with their
average earnings rising by six per cent to £28,500 for the
year ending in April.
Young architects fared best in the salary survey conducted by the
Royal Institute of British Architects, with those under 30
recording a 13 per cent increase.
RIBA attributes the rises to the growth in construction activity in
private commercial and retail sectors and the demand for millennium
projects such as leisure and cultural buildings.
