Bovis in learning moves
The construction minister Nick Raynsford has endorsed a new
initiative from Bovis that will enable the company to transfer best
practice and management skills across the group.
The Bovis Self Development Programme (Bovis SDP), set up in
conjunction with Middlesex University, offers high-level learning
and the opportunity to gain a postgraduate qualification.
Containing 19 modules, written by Bovis managers who are experts in
their subject areas, the programme embraces subjects as diverse as
project management, commercial awareness and risk management. They
are available to all Bovis employees in Europe, America and
Asia-Pacific.
Speaking at the launch Raynsford said: "The SDP is an innovative
route forward in achieving the types of changes proposed by
Rethinking Construction and which the Government is supporting and
promoting through the Movement for Innovation."
The programme is available on CD-ROM using multi-media, on 3.5in
disc and in a limited format on Wingspan, the Bovis Intranet.
On-line and telephone support services are available to all
students.
