Taylor Woodrow has brought two PFI schemes to a financial close in
the last few weeks - a £51 million local authority PFI scheme
in Sheffield and a £50 million water project for West of
Scotland Water Authority.
The Scottish water project for the Dalmuir Wastewater Treatment
Works scheme in Glasgow was signed last week. Taywood's consortium
Scotia Water Dalmuir comprises: Taylor Woodrow Construction, SAUR
(UK), Stereau, Barr Holdings, Halcrow and Innisfree.
The scheme involves the design and construction of a secondary
treatment works capable of treating an annual flow of approximately
100 million m3 per year of sewage. Scotia Water will then be
responsible for the operation and maintenance of the works in
conjunction with West of Scotland Water for the next 25 years. Work
begins on site immediately.
The Sheffield scheme is part of the city council's Remaking the
Heart of the City project. Taylor Woodrow's contract involves
designing and building a six-storey office block for the council
with car parking. The scheme is being undertaken in conjunction
with London and Regional Properties. The facilities management
contract involves managing the building for a 30 year period.
