PCL director disqualified for 4 years
A Sheffield man has been disqualified from being a company director
for four years over his previous conduct at a building services
contractor.
Robert Tyler was a director of PCL Building Services Limited before
it went into voluntary liquidation in April 1997 with debts of more
than £106,000.
Reading County Court has now found him guilty of causing the
company to carry on a business similar to that of PCL Services, a
previously failed company, without sufficient capital; to continue
to trade at the risk of creditors; to retain money owed to the
Government; to fail to comply with its statutory obligations to the
Government and to repay a substantial amount of his director's loan
at a time when he ought to have known that the company was unable
to pay its debts.
