Miller £10m sewage win

Miller has been awarded a £10 million design and build contract for modifications to Newhaven Waste Water Treatment works.

The award was made last week following four months of negotiations with the client, Southern Water Services. Work will start next month, and last for 20 months, with completion scheduled for April 2001. The work includes primary settlement tanks, and secondary activated sludge processors. Swindon-based Halcrow Energy has been appointed consulting engineer.
